Tonsil Stone

by Desperate

This has got to be the disease that has the most embarrassing symptoms ever. I nearly committed suicide one day because of its symptoms. My Life is still in shame because of its symptoms. I can't even talk to anyone. It's like the worst symptoms ever. I am barely hanging on to continue my studies at university. This could really end my career, my dreams and aspirations. I don't think I'll even have a Family on my own one day.

It'll be OK.

I am a 29 year old female who ever since puberty thought I had a problem with smelling bad. Of course my stupidity was thinking it was underarms, No deoderant seemed to work. Even when I thought I found one, someone would make me feel like I smelled again, and I would be crushed. I just now realized that it has been Bad Breath. But, I thought, I brush my teeth. I even floss which most of my friends can't even say. So why do I have bad breath? Tonsiloliths. They are always there...in the back of my throat. I squeeze what I can out, but all it gets me is a little ick, a sour throat, watery eyes, and a gag reflex that lasts for hours. And still, a day or two later more.....But guess what, I'm happily married with 3 kids. My husband loves me anyway, and he knows how hard I try to fix it. Don't let something like this get you down. I know it's easy to say, but really God Loves You No Matter What, and we are here for Him. May God Bless you, and help you to recovery.

Time to See an ENT
by: Gary

Dear Desperate,

It sounds like it's time for you to look into the possibility of having your tonsils removed. Before this goes any further and before you begin to feel even more desperate (if that's possible), please make an appointment to see an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist. A tonsillectomy is a much better permanent solution to the problem than suicide.

Best wishes,
Gary
