These tonsils have to go!
by CO

So I've always had issues with my tonsils since I was a child. In less than a year I have had throat infections 5 different times, from which I was in excruciating amounts of pain because unfortunately I have large tonsils to begin with.... Lately I noticed this strange taste in the back of my mouth. No matter how hard I tried (toothpaste, mouthwash, salt water), the taste stayed in my mouth. Just the other day I felt something lodged in my throat and noticed a white patch... To my disgusted surprise, once I touched my tonsil, the white came out... and a horrid, horrid stench followed... For the past 2 days I have worked at extracting them, and they keep appearing.. Is this grounds to have my doctor remove my tonsils, considering they do nothing but make me sick, and now they make my breath reek. For years I have wanted to have my tonsils out because of all the pain, but I'm on my last straw now... This sounds gross but if I touch the outside of my tonsil with my finger, it smells horrible, so it's not just the inside of the tonsils, it's the outside as well. I have great oral hygiene and have never had bad breath. I am 28, so I realize it is not recommended that I get them out. But this is it, I've had enough of these bad boys! Any advice would be wonderful!
