Question About Tonsil Stone Removal

by Stewart
(Christchurch)

Can you get tonsil stones out with your Tongue?

Answer: Some people are able to dislodge some of their tonsil stones by using the tongue. Whether or not one can do this successfully probably depends on a number of factors, i.e., the depth of the tonsil crypt, how tightly packed the stone is, whether the tonsil stone is located on the front, sides, or rear of tonsil, etc. The bottom line, however, is that it can be done.
