Frustrating Tonsil Stones

by Jason
(Perth, Australia)

For the past 5-6 years, I have been feeling a lump in the left side of my throat when swallowing, etc. Food seems to get caught in this area, and I usually need to cough it up.

Every couple of days I cough up green hard mucus that is white on one end (about pea sized.) This is usually followed with what appears to be tonsil stones, small white balls that really stink. I can't see these balls at all down my throat. I have been told by doctors that it all looks ok down there.

I have problems with my C2 vert in my neck and it constantly goes out. When I have adjustments to the C2 via my chiropractor, sometimes it dislodges the mucus and white balls and makes the lump in my throat disappear. I guess that this misalignment somehow puts pressure on my nasal cavity near my tonsils and causes food and mucus to build up in ducts and cavities on my left side. If I am lucky, I have relief for about a week, and then it starts up again.

I want to see another ENT doctor just to get his opinions on these stones.

Hope this helps someone out
