Thanks, Brian (and a clarification)
by: Gary

First of all, Brian, thank you for your kind words. I'm glad you've found this site to be helpful.

Next, I should point out that this site is not operated by, nor does it belong to, Dr. Katz. I operate this site as an independent affiliate because I've used, benefited greatly from, and strongly believe in Dr. Katz' products.

I've written most of the material on this site, but I do feature several of the good doctor's articles because he's truly the expert. You can read more of what Dr. Katz has to say at therabreath.com.

Now, let's get back to you. For some reason, not completely understood as of yet, some people reach a point in life where tonsil stones begin to form. Unfortunately, it's not a simple matter of getting rid of them one time, and then you're good for life.

Now that they've started forming, you'll need to find the best way to deal with them. I'm talking about the way that's best for Brian, not necessarily for everyone else.

What are your options?

1. You can keep popping them out using a variety of mechanical means, but be aware that your breath will suffer much of the time.

2. You can try some of Dr. Katz' products. Now I can't speak from personal experience here since my tonsils were removed when I was 5. But from what I know of his products and based on my own research, I think there's a good chance they'll work for you, and in addition to fresh breath they may provide you with a permanent solution.

3. Surgical and laser treatments. Obviously, a complete tonsillectomy will guarantee an end to the tonsil stone problem. However, there are definite risks involved. An ENT specialist is the place to start for this kind of information.

Regarding various laser treatments - I haven't done any research yet... I just know they're out there, but again, an ENT could advise you properly.

I hope this information is helpful, Brian. If I've managed not to answer your questions, please post back and let me know.

Best wishes,
Gary

I created this Web site in August 2006 to help others avoid the consequences of bad breath and other oral hygiene problems.

Thank you one and all for helping it become the success it is today.

And a big thank you, as well, to the "SBI!" software that made it possible.

If this site has helped you, I'd like to hear about it.

Please comment on this page.
